Matalau, our new luxury ocean view villa is situated on one side of the property for privacy. In addition to the panoramic view over the Somosomo Strait, there is a private path down the cliff to a beautiful secluded white sand bay where perfumed vutu trees overhanging the aqua water.

Matalau has a huge hexagonal lounge with a towering Fijian timbered ceiling, windows and glass on all sides creating the feeling of having the lush tropical foliage inside your lounge. The whole frontage of the Taveuni Island villa then flows onto a spacious covered deck (lanai) with the plunge pool and waterfall overlooking the ocean.

There are two large private ensuite bedrooms with king beds, beautiful imported fine white linen and mosquito nets making the bed romantic and inviting.

This charming resort combines Fijian timbers with casual elegance to create a unique tropical ambience. Getting There
Two airlines, Sun Air and Air Fiji, fly to Taveuni Island from Nadi's International airport. The flight takes 90-minutes. There are six to seven flights daily to this remote island. There are also direct flights from Suva, the capital of Fiji, which is a 60-minute flight. Taveuni Island Resort is located only a short two minute drive from the airport.
